Center enters into its first health workforce research contract with the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology – would maintain a contractual relationship with AAAAI through 2012

Center’s New York Resident Exit Survey project begins

Gaetano Forte, staff member with the longest tenure currently, is hired as a Graduate Research Assistant

Center wins a cooperative agreement with HRSA to become a Regional Center for Health Workforce Studies

Debra Krohl is hired as Program Assistant

Jean Moore & Margaret Langelier are hired

Compiles State Health Workforce Profiles for HRSA for 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands

Ed Salsberg leaves the Center to become Director of a new workforce research center at the Association of American Medical Colleges. Would go on to become the Director of the HRSA’s National Center for Health Workforce Analysis in 2010

Drafts the 16th Report of the Council on Graduate Medical Education

Center’s current Monitoring the Health Workforce in New York project begins
